Accessibility

We want everybody to be able to use this site, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification, or a device set to larger text.

What we are working to

We are building this site towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard we measure ourselves against, and we are not claiming full conformance yet.

What we have done so far

  • Text and background colours are chosen for contrast.
  • Pages work at larger text sizes and on small screens.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
  • Forms have visible labels and clear error messages.
  • Interactive elements can be reached with a keyboard.

Where we know we fall short

  • Some video content hosted on other platforms may not yet have captions or a transcript.
  • Some documents offered for download may not be fully tagged for screen readers.

We are working through both.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us. Describe the page and what happened, and we will fix it or find another way to get you what you need. Use the details on our contact page. We aim to reply within two working days.
